Stacey Matteson Promoted to Vice President and General Manager of Umialik Insurance Company
(Minneapolis, Minn.) Western National Insurance Group today announced that Stacey M. Matteson has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager of Anchorage, Alaska-based Umialik Insurance Company, effective immediately.
Stacey joined Umiaik in 2013 as Director of Underwriting. Prior to joining Umialik, Stacey was Senior Vice President of Underwriting for Farmers & Mechanics Insurance Company in West Virginia, and Product Manager for Vesta Insurance Companies in Alabama.
In her new management role, Stacey will be responsible for leading the group’s commercial and personal lines operations in Alaska. She will fill the role currently held by Senior Vice President and General Manager Tessa Wilson, who will retire on August 1, 2014 after 26 years of service.
